basic drum kit gating and compressing

I would LOVE to improve the sound of our drum kit using the x32's gates and compression, have been reading a bit, but would love to know if any of you have any advice or great sources... specially curious about using the key filters in the gates, it SOUNDS like the right path, I'm just a bitt too much of a rookie (in this arena) to know where to start.

    thanks!

btw, this would be a good spot to have shared libraries me thinks.... "hey, take a look at this snare drum preset I created and tell me what you think" sort of thing

    Hi Mark and Pete,

Thank you both for looking at signing up and Pete, see you tomorrow. I do want to let you know that we do record these seminars and then post them online if you are unable to attend. The nice thing about attending is that we do a Q&A session at the end where we go over any application and setup questions that you may have. Mark, you are always welcome to post on this thread with any questions you have and I will be more than happy to continue the conversation on signal processors.

    Thanks.
