New on mixing business

Hello to all

I´m a amateur musician not very used to the mixing stuff yet . I purchased a Xenyx qx-1202fx mixer that at the moment works fine except for the led input meters. It doesn´t seem to measure properly the signal level. Only the first two green leds light up even when the signal is stronger . On the other hand the bundled software you offer is absolutely obsolete for the Macintosh user. It only runs on power pc mac´s when today the running operating system is Lion, based upon Intel processors . Are you planning to update those gifts ? . It would help me a lot if you publish a larger user´s manual for the qx1202-fx I expected to find it at your website as you say on the mixer´s envelope . Thanks for your help

Hi Felix,

The meters on the right side of your mixer, actually show the OUTPUT, not the input. The red led's on each channel show the amount of compression on each channel.

Please know that it is normal to need to turn the GAIN knob nearly all of the way up to get the input level needed.

There has not been any announcements regarding different software or manual. Any changes to this will be posted here, straightaway.

Thanks for your fast reply. Im really starting on this and will take lots of hours to manage so I was expecting some more help on the user´s manual. Is there any good information regarding use of the xenyx series or general mixing products that I can browse from here ? or from your website ? . thanks very much again
