Virtualizer Pro's effects are on the wrong number. Please help!

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum but have owned and used several Behringer products in my lifetime, have most recently purchased a used Virtualizer Pro DSP2024p, and am running into one major problem. There seems to be an issue with the firmware(a guess?). The majority of the unit works perfectly but all of the effects are in the wrong place. -- to give you an example when i want to use effect number 13 (stereo delay) I have to turn the knob to 26. i have messed around with it some and reset the entire unit to factory settings but have not come up with a solution myself.

Has anyone here heard of or run into a similar problem? I'm not sure what the previous owner did with this but do know that the unit was kept in a very clean environment and is like new condition. It's possible that she was messing around using MIDI with the device and changed some setting I'm not aware of... although it really seems like the unit may be somehow interleaving the user created sounds in with the presets.

If anyone has any ideas i would truly appreciate them!!!

If you did a "factory reset," then I'm not sure why the unit wouldn't sound the way it's supposed to when you select the effect that you want to hear.

Just to be certain, be sure that you DO NOT have a MIDI controller connected to it when running through the effects. Not all MIDI controllers are created equal.
