NU3000 bridge mode

So, if I put the NU3000 into bridge mode which input works? If I turn on the crossover also does it output the lows or highs? Is the manual available for download? I could only find the quick start guide .

Hi Ron,

It is really important to have 4 pole speaker cable, (also called NL4) to wire your amp and speakers for the use of the crossover or bridge mode. BTW rewiring the cable just means unscrewing the end, and using a screwdriver to swap a pair of wires.


When the crossover is activated, the Low frequencies end up on +2-2 of your 4 pole cable, and the mids and highs are on +1, -1.


In BRIDGED mode you will want ch A all of the way up and ch B all of the way down. Connect only to channel A.


Set the switch to BRIDGED

You will want to rewire your Speakon to +1, +2. You can just unscrew the end of the speakon cable to do this.

Mark this end of the Speakon so you know which end you rewired.

Hi New User, I figured just rez this old thread as I need to find out if you are going to use Bridge mode on the nu3000dsp and I have a 2 pole cable do I change the wire on both ends or just the 1 end that plugs into the Sub??

I have a 4 pole connector on the sub..

Neither - you have to change just the amp end .

Huh? The cable has two ends, did you mean the speaker end? And perhaps you are gender-confused too - the cables have two female ends and the amp and speaker both have male panel mount SpeakOns. In any case you want to change the end of the cable that plugs into the amp and leave the end that plugs into the speaker "normal". Make sure you carefully label that cable as to function and which end goes where!

Oh your A Funny person guesss you are the life of the party..Gender confused .. the Amp connector looks female to me not sure what you see??

Nope, most folks don't get it right so don't worry . The genders of the connectors are definitely as I posted and the opposite of what most folks guess. If you look at the very center of the connectors where the contacts are it sorta makes sense. The outer shell that protects the user from contact with the contacts confuses things.

On another not I am trying to determine the REAL ACtual Wattage of this amp per channel in dual mono.. On the website it states 880w in the Manual it states 820W which one is correct??

OK, I just pulled the cable apart and I did NOT see any markins showing which connector was the 2+, How can I determine which cable to hook the ground wire too if it is not marked??
