Ultragraph DEQ-1024 issue

Hi all. I have my Ultragraph Digital running Analog input to digital output, and I get no response in any mode but "Pre EQ". I'm doing this to bypass my recording device's noisy analog preamps. Does anyone know what is going on, and how I might fix it?

Hi Matthew,

What kind of digital input does your recording device have? The signal coming from the DEQ1024 is either AES/EBU or spdiff, so this would have to match your recorder's input. Please tell me:

1. The model number of your recorder.
2. How you are connected.

Yeah, it's S/PIDF, 16bit/44.1khz

Alright, it's not so much the source in as it is the source out. See, I have the Ultragraph DEQ 1024 plugged into a recording unit (TASCAM 2488neo), and I'm using the recording unit's S/PDIF input to bypass the noisy analog preamps on the recording device. The only mode I get sound registering on the recorder is in "Pre-EQ" mode. The source going into the DEQ is a Eurodesk SX3282, running in-line through the DEQ, rather than the DEQ running through the Main Inserts, due to a shortage of patch cables.

You should be able to go through the processor. I have checked with another specialist, and it seems your unit is not functioning properly.

I'm running Analog to digital, so that might be the issue. You'll be happy to know that this past weekend when I ran it Analog to analog, it worked like a dream and I recieved many compliments from the other engineers on my work, so this thing was definitely worth it.

And P.S, I'm using RCA connectors to attach to the recorder.
