Berhinger C-1U Volume (Common Issue with no solution)

    Hi there.

This has been asked many times all over the internet but I can't seem to find a solution. My recording volume is very low on the microphone. Possibly another way to say this is that how close I need to be to the mic to get any good volume out of it is ridiculous. I noticed the manual (That I read after I bought it) said you have to be about 3cm from the mic... They can't be serious.

At a "comfortable" distance speaking a little too loudly for comfort I get a max of -12db in Audition, Audacity, Cubase, and Nuendo.

Yes I've got the drivers installed (Useless because I'm on 7x64).
Yep, checked the volume knob in that hard to find place - on full blast.
It is in a USB 2.0 slot.
No the light should NOT be blue.

I've seen one kid with a powered USB hub and he claims that this gives good volume, but he didn't show any evidence.

So I don't know... has anyone got good volume out of this thing or have I just bought an inferior product?

    THANKS!

HAHAH! Thanks for the tip, but fat lot of good that did. I said in the email exactly what I wrote... "I did, X, Y, Z"... I get a reply... "Make sure you've done X, Y, Z"

I must still get that hub and give it a try, I think I'm just gonna flog this thing and buy another brand, it's way over 30 days from purchase. I just never had time to properly fiddle.

    Thanks anyway

    C-1U low volume level

I have same problem. Just get it and nobody knows how to fix it. I try many times adjust but nothing changes. I'm thinking to return.
