Thread: SX4882 SOLO/PFL routing

    Question SX4882 SOLO/PFL routing

    Hi,

I've just bought an SX4882 and I do not understand why the SOLO/PFL section have no effect on the MAIN MIX OUT or MAIN BALANCED OUTPUTS but the MUTE buttons have. Pressing any SOLO/PFL button anywhere have no effect at all on these outputs. According to the diagrams, the PFL/SOLO lines affect the CONTROL ROOM & STUDIO OUT outputs only.

So, in a live config, if i need to SOLO a channel, I must connect my sound system to the CONTROL ROOM or STUDIO OUT outputs only ?

    Thanks for your advices !

    Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum. The PFL/Solo is also connected to the headphones. It is used by the sound tech for monitoring certain channels without affecting what goes out the main outs.

Thanks ! I was unfamiliar with such "large" consoles, now I love my SX4882 !
