    iPad control over x32 compact

I just got a x32 compact for my church and I'm looking into using an iPad to control my monitor feed. What do I need to do to get this to work? Do I need to buy a router and have a network cable come from the mixer to the main input on the router? Just not sure how it works.

    Please come to my rescue.

Yes, you will need to buy a router. Plug one end of the ethernet cable into the RJ45 jack on the remote control port of the X32. Plug the other end into any port, EXCEPT the wan port on the router. You will then need to configure both the X32 and the ipad to be on the same wireless network. Details are in the manual.

What kind of router do you recommend, I don't have a ton to spend, but I know it needs to be reliable.

    Suggestions appreciated.

    Get an ASUS.

They run modded versions of DDWRT which have proven extremely reliable. I had a model that didn't have to be reset for an entire year with heavy home use that was $11.99 at Fry's.
