    Firmware Update V1.10

On SoundForums.net Uli said on 10th November:-

I am very excited to announce that we will soon release firmware 1.10 which includes a new De-Esser "Plug In" as well as many other cool features.
How soon is soon? We already know soon>6 days but how much greater?

    James,

Our engineers are working on it! Of course they don't want to promise us a release date quite yet. If it's not out by the time NAMM rolls around, we will be surprised.

Chris, thanks for the update. I wonder if part of the reason everyone is so anxious is Behringer rolled out the first few updates pretty quick - like one a month apart. Can you give us a hint if v1.10 will include a bit more substance that previously released updates? For me the board works great, so I'd rather wait for an update that's been fully tested, has some new functionality to play with, and doesn't break anything.

I think you're probably right Steve. Although another reason why people are "anxious" might be do with Uli popping up on forums saying things like:

@All: 1.10 should be released quite soon. I payed the guys at Behringer a visit this week and the showed me the new 1.10 (the new De-Esser FX included - looks really nice!). They build in lot's of enhancements that are partially not so obvious, but this results in the need for some extra time for examination and searching for bugs.

Keep it up and Uli will quit posting and Behringer will turn into every other company that doesn't talk about new stuff until they are shipping it

thx Christian for the News. And Behringer for working on improving this awesome console.

The only things I really miss: Two independant mono insert fx instead of a double mono (for examle one amp sim on bass guitar and one Wave Designer for Snare). And coupling of other 2 than unpair/pair channels (easiest would be 1+17, 2+18 for stereo inputs). And a flashing "sends on fader" indicator to not accidently mix the monitors instead of the main mix (happened a few times during my last 20 shows I did with the x32). And being able to play mp3 from the stick with a comfortable view other than this creepy old style cassette player.

However: The x32 does everything I expected and is (compared with the Presonus 16.4.2 at the same price range) a real game changer for me, thanks again!
