I had the S16 connected to the AES50-A port on the back of the X32, then in the X32 routing page I set the "Inputs 1-8" as "AES50 A1-8" and "Inputs 9-16" as "AES50 A9-16". I left the outputs alone as I was using the local bus sends for my FOH L&R.
Having done this I was able to use the channel strip to turn on/off +48v phantom power and also use the gain control to alter the S16's pre-amp's. But I never managed to get a signal into the X32 channel, if I used headphones on the S16 I could hear my mics, and the level meters were registering an input at the S16. The signal never made it to the X32 console though. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong!
In the routing page of the X32 the "AES50 A" is shown as a "Connected device", but at the top, the "A: S16" box had a red light next to it, whereas the others had green. I don't know if that means anything, though I'm guessing it does as Red generally means bad!
Can anyone shed any light on this situation? I'll be trying again tomorrow but I'm out of ideas so would appreciate some help
