V Amp ?

Is there going to be a replacement for V Amp 3 ?
I'm thinking of buying one but would hate for it to be out of date in a months time.
Also can you edit a V Amp 3 with the editor using MIDI cables or, do you have to use USB to edit?

Yes, I think Behringer have fallen behind in the modeling race. I would love to see a low-cost update that can compete with the Pod HD, Zoom G3/G5 etc. For now I'm satisfied with the G3. I have a V-Amp 2 which was/is good, but it's 10 years old by know and only gets used as a backup for me.

Dear Titch,

You're going to need some kind of MIDI interface with one MIDI INPUT and one MIDI OUTPUT on it for your computer. You can get a generic one from the local computer store - it doesn't have to be fancy or expensive. If you think you'll end up performing music with MIDI in the future (you won't when using the V-amp... only file transfers), I recommend checking out an interface of a bit higher quality from MIDIman, Edirol, or Aardvark (there are hundreds of others). You can get these devices from Musician's Friend, Guitar Center, Zzounds, etc.

Hi, I have a question according to the hardware of the v-amp 3. I'm owner of a V-Amp 1 which was upgraded to a 2 Version by a EEPROM Upgrade. Since the 1 and the 2 Version (and also the Bass Version) are exactly the same Hardware (except of the EEPROM) and the 3 Version seems to have also exactly the same knobs and Potis, with the same number of variants, does it also have the same hardware as the previous devices? Is it possible to upgrade my v-amp again through a EEPROM Upgrade, to make it a 3 Version?

Actually, it is not possible to convert a VAMP1 or a VAMP2 to a VAMP3 with an EEPROM upgrade.

The VAMP3 is a slightly different machine.

I have been searching hi and low and across every possible sites for a listings of the Presets of a V Amp 2 with absolutely no success. My original manual and other documents on tis site refers to a separate documet being attached to the manual....but I never had such document and cannot locate on the web.

Can anbody help me out and advise as to where I can get a copy.
