XControl Feature Request
When re-assigning the channel source to something other than the default, it should be noted in the scribble strip or somewhere on the channel of this change, like it is on the X32 console. This is going to be vitally important when the X32 Rack and Core become available where the console will be controlled primarily using a laptop or tablet.
User Definable Controls and Mute groups request...
I've had a few hours prodding and sending signal round my X32, mightily impressed! Just waiting for a flightcase to arrive, then it can start going out on shows!
Although I've not yet used the X32 in anger, there are a couple of extra features I think would be really useful and after a quick scan through this thread, someone else has mentioned the first one back around page 3 or 4.
Being able to assign a User Definable Keys as one of the two pages on a graphic in the FX window, so you can access each channel of graphic you are using with a separate button.
The scroll function (when on a graphic) should be assignable to one of the four rotary encoders.
These two functions would make the desk a lot faster and easier to use as a monitor board and/or running monitors from FOH without having to constantly check you are adjusting the correct graphic.
The Mute Groups:
I know a lot of other people have mentioned the way that the mute groups unmute every channel within that group regardless of the previous mute state. It can get complicated explaining how it should work unless you think about a good old analogue console with mechanical mute switches and groups. You can assign each channel to one or more mute groups, but each channel has it's own mute button which overrides that, so you can leave certain channels muted.
Obviously a lot of people are asking about a lot of different things to include, some do-able and some completely impossible. I don't think any of these features would be difficult to implement!
Request for more detailed channel meters.
Ok in ch strip prob not possible but could be done in meters pages and in the home pages - same graduation /accuracy/detail as the main and m/c meters. Where the detail is especially lacking is between -30 and - 18 dbfs
my X32 wish list (most have been mentioned before),
highest priority first
-scene fade in time (like the DDX3216)
-VU meter display for the DCA
-a stereo panning option on linked channels (so panning the left channel adjust the right in the opposite direction)
-RTA (probably on the meters page, with selectable input)
-MP3 support on the USB stick, and mono files too
I know DCAs don't sum audio into a channel, but you could sum just for the VU meter? it shouldn't take that much DSP processing
For the RTA I now use my laptop with a USB connection and the free Overtone pgm, and I can select which of the AUX outputs to monitor, and not use up the X32 display thus keeping it free for other things. But having one on the X32 console is also very useful.
While I'd also like to have mp3 support (and some other common compressed file formats as well) I have to mention that a 64Gb usb stick holds almost five days of audio -- non-stop.

64Gb equals approx 80 CD's...
Hi Bob, try the guitar amp simulator. It works quite well.

Am I understanding this correctly?

In my analog days we had a unit called the Orban Paragraphic EQ. Above each slider there was a knob which let you adjust the frequency.
Maybe we need one of these as a plugin?
Copy paste GEQ-F/X returns
Hi.It would be nice if we could copy paste GEQ -A to GEQ-B.It would also be nice to be able to name the GEQ also.
Concerning the F/X returns,it would be nice to have an EQ.
