Exclamation Admin or Mod needed ~ Attachments

I've created an rpm package which sets up the Linux app when you double click on it for rpm based linux distrobutions. (ie Fedora, CentOS, RHEL, Mandriva, SUSE, ect.) It installs a desktop file and icon so it's similar to the Windows and OS X apps. It also includes links to the license agreement, description of the app, and relevant documents (pdf files/manuals) File Size is about 22 MB

I can't post it on my website because it violates the terms of the EULA you have posted so I'm hoping for one of three things to happen:

    1) You expand the limit of how large and I'll attach it in a forum post here. This doesn't Violate the EULA since all postings on the Forum belong to Behringer/Music Group, Inc., and any Music Group Employee can edit or delete my post at will. Since the post is the property of Behringer/Music Group, Inc., they are in fact the ones distributing it so there's no violation. =) (yay!)

    2) You give me special permission to redistribute Behringer/Music Group, Inc. materials and I post the rpm on my website

    3) I email you the RPM and you put it on the main Downloads page for the X32.

That last option is probably the worse as I don't think you have anyone to maintain the RPM on your dev team, but maybe that'll work for you!

Please let me know soon as I stayed up waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy too late on a Friday night to get this done for everyone. =)

    Thanks!

    Hey Behringer,

Please provide a solution for Brian with this install routine. He needs to be encouraged an praised for going the extra mile for us X32 users. Personally, if I had had this a couple of weeks ago, I wouldn't have wasted uncounted hours and a few choice words towards linux geeks (I'm a PC person that wants to switch over to linux) and the Behringer programmer that didn't finish his job.

Thanks again Brian. You're OK in my books.

Turns out I was able to figure out how to create .deb packages for the app as well on my fedora box. That means I don't have a way to test it, but I think it'll work, or we can get it working soon. the .deb applies to the same as .rpm.

-Hoping to hear back from you soon!

    Bump?

I'm sad that I haven't been able to hear back from anyone on this.

    Still waiting...

But FYI, I've already packaged the X32-Edit to replace the XControl one. Worked great.

    Dear all,

We're looking into increasing the file sizes, but this has to be done on the server end, unfortunately.
