I use 5Ghz. I have used 2.4 and 5Ghz and the issues with the delays (usually when I change from one set of channels to another) is there on both.
So I wonder if I update my firmware and iPad software if I can say I have a MIDAS M32 Rack ;)
It is one of my favorite features of the X32 Rack.
I take the recordings and feed them back through the PA to isolate individual channels to set compression, gates, and eq for each channel as well...
I also noticed an instability (as noted... a 2-4 second freeze and resume) somewhere after 2.02 I think.
I am using the offending Asus router that has that silly issue of not wanting to be...
...... and .... I am still waiting. Just bumping my post to verbalize my impatiences
Yep! That is the one Paul.
Another possibility might be that Music Group will start introducing new firmware on the M32 before the X32. This would give the M32 crowd an added bonus over the X32...
Then I suspect the little DL will do you fine.
If you are quick-on-the-draw, you can sell your DL before the prices on it drop when the X18 does come out
I wonder that changes have been made for 2.07 ..... and I wonder when the X32 will get it!
I wouldn't think that Music Group would have different firmware paths for M32 and X32. That would be a...
All reports I have heard from people that own and use the DL suggest that the verbs are only "OK". The X32 Rack on the other hand has outstanding verbs to my ear.
I believe you can connect an ethernet cable directly from the X32 to your laptop in most cases (in the event your router gives up the goat).
$800.00 sounds about right for an introduction price to me. It is below the MAP of the DL1608 and well below the MAP of the TouchMIX 16 channel. It is $400.00 below the X32 Rack MAP (which also...
I agree Jay.
I can't imagine being tied to the console any longer. It would be like heating cold pizza in an oven instead of the microwave ..... or getting up to the TV to change channels :p
It is currently my only complaint .... and that is a trivial one IMHO. I would very much like my X32 Mix app updated to include the RTA and other features that are in the console. Does the...
I hope I am wrong and that you have an X18 (instead of a new washing machine) by the end of the year :p
It may surprise you that XP still accounts for 25% of all desktops/laptops. I have recently had this conversation with a new product I am developing. I can't see alienating 25% of my potential...
It is possible that I am completely off on the timeline for the X18 release date. Here is my recollection of the X32 Rack release schedule:
Shown in winter NAMM January 2013. Q1 ish release...
I think the X18 is going to be able to do multi-track record and playback since it has an 18x18 I/0 interface on USB just like the X32 family.
My guess is that you won't be able to have an...
Let us know if you have questions. Paul generally beats me to the punch, but there are many here who can help.
I have been continually shocked at how little resources Reaper requires. I record 16 tracks on an old AMD Duron 1.3Ghz processor. It consumes about 35% of the processors ONLY core!
Actually, it would be very easy to use any MIDI foot controller and 2 scenes. One with the efx return muted, the other with it on.
If you have a programmable MIDI controller, you can...
I do occasional solo and duo acts with my X32 Rack. Vocal track, and a pair of stereo inputs for either my guitar (Kemper Profiler XLR), or keyboard (Juno G into DI), or iPhone/PC/Other...
I record every live performance and ever practice from the X32 Rack to Reaper on my laptop. I have only experienced issues that were self inflicted (like your lack of output routing resulting in no...
What is your application and needs specifically?
Glad to hear things went so well Kevin.
I am sure that once your soundman gets his head around the X32, he will be very happy with his new found tools and abilities. I can certainly speak as a...
