I reviewed the RPM Dynamics TB48 some weeks ago, which is basically a Sonnet Thunderbold chassis with two Lynx AES16e-50 cards build in. Both cards are viewed separatly by my MacBookPro (late2011,...
I can't tell...got this strange phone call lately-->
I do - shoot your questions:-)
I'm here Henry:-)
I'm very confident, that all your questions about V.2 and the cards will be answered at the NAMM show.
Concerning V.2...I don't know about the current state, but I saw some of...
I do have both cards here. The X-UF works fine with all of my computers in almost the same settings. The X-USB is a bit different. It works not that good on old single or dual core PCs with XP. When...
Don't coun't on a kind of Autotune. These algorithems normally don't work in real time, it would surprise me, if we will see that in V2. In addition no other desk offers Autotune by now. But I'm very...
RTL Time on the X32 is 0,8ms (analog in to analoge out). If you add an FX or GEQ in this signalpath, the RTL will be 1,5ms. The X32 is not phase coherent (like the most other digital Live Desks (f.e....
it would helpful to know what kind of computer and OS you are using.
In addition, have you run the dpc latency checker?-->
I did the same. I was never an Apple fan boy, but the iPad just works! I brought a s/h iPad1 for 150,- Euros and with deactivated mini-faders/meters it works really great with the X32.
I just notice this on my old IMB T60 (XP) notebook, but only with the meters. There is a build up in lag over the time, but the rest of the programm works like it should. Maybe it its a CPU thing....
I did about 100 shows with the X32, and no show stoppers so far. Some minor glitches with the S16 sync. These were solved by dropping the old unshielded CAT5 cable for shielded CAT6 cabels. Did...
Just use a shielded Cat6 cable for AES50 and connect your X32 and S16 to the same power circuit and you should be fine. At least that was what the head of Behringer R&D told me. Works perfect here....
"but they will be named showname.001, showname.002 etc"
No, if you bring them back, they will have their original names.
If you just want to bring back some of the files from your show, you can...
And add a power line, so that your S16 and the X32 are always powered by the same power circuit:-)
Myself I don't care about DMX, so I might build a snake with this cable-->
Sorry, if I haven't made myself clear enough.
Four lines for audio and four for the clocking - no lines left.
AES50 needs both pairs. One pair for audio and one pair for the clocking.
In a nutshell: It won't work.
I know two vendors of this kind of cabels. One is-->
The other one is-->
Friend of mine has a 60 meter...
Myself, I have the standard Thomann Case in black. For me, it is absolutly ok. Did almost 100 shows with my...
It depends on your computer.
I get great results with:
1. lowest setting possible
2. between 128-256 samples for recording
3. don't care - I always use Asio
Some computers need a tweaked...
You can delay any of the 16 analog outs on the desk. Hit "routing"-->"analoge out"--> on the right side of the screen is your line delay.
+1 on dropping the Ultranet and going with AES50 instead as digital input for the iQ line!
And we need a new Speaker Management with AES and at least 4in and 8 outs:-)
"and the bass frequencies is so fat"
Toroidal core power supply - still the best for amplifying bass!
I also still use old iron toroidal amps, but only in permanent installs. I'm happyly tradeing...
Again...the results are directly related to type of measurement signal you use. Shorter sine burst = more power. Simple as that. There are no official worldwide standards, how to power rate an amp....
"It is not true what you state here that it never reached in practice sine signal input. An example is a long guitar booster, or tone of the keys, or the DJ production is achieving the highest...
